SOFTBALL TRYOUTS & SEASON INFORMATION
It's time for Softball Tryouts, and we're ready to get the new 2023 season going! Below is the tryout and season information, and we're glad to answer any questions.
TRYOUTS:
Where: Thomas C. Pack Softball Field (13 Donald Street, Piedmont, SC)
When: Saturday, December 3, 1-3pm
Who Can Try Out: Girls in 6th-12th grades who are either homeschooled or whose school does not offer Softball
Bring: Bat (if you have one), Helmet (if you have one), Cleats (if available), Glove (must have)

SEASON INFORMATION:
Team: Hurricanes will offer a competitive, high school level Varsity team
Practices: Planned 3x/week at the Thomas C. Pack Softball Field
Staff:
- Program Manager - Chris Kilian
- Head Coach - John Hollifield
- Asst. Coach - Kim McCabe
Cost:
- Registration Fee - $325 (paid after tryout results are posted)
- Uniform - $50
Payment Plan (available if desired):
- $150 paid at the time of registration
- Remaining amount split into payments on 2/1 and 3/1
Player Provides:
- Black Softball Pants
- Helmet
- Glove
- Cleats
- Bat (specifics available at parent/player meeting)
Hurricanes Physicals - Physicals are being offered again this year at a fabulous price of $25! A physical is required for participation in all Hurricane sports!
Date: Wednesday, January 11
Times: 5-7pm
Location: 430 Cox Rd, Greer (Office of Dr. Patricia Deane)
Cost: $25 (for comparison, Minute Clinic, MD360 and Doctor's Care all charge $40-$60 for a sports physical)

Physicals are required for each athlete participating in a Hurricane's competitive season. The physical must not be more than one year old any time during the season.
