Get these dates on your calendar! November 11th & 12th are the official tryout dates for Hurricanes Baseball! Below is all the season information. There is no cost for trying out, but you must be signed up to try out! Use the link below.

Players who desire to play with the Canes in the Spring of 2025 must attend one of the tryout dates. It is not acceptable to miss tryouts because you have travel ball practice. • Monday, November 11, 5-8pm - Official Middle School Tryouts - Conestee Stadium (840 Mauldin Road, Greenville, SC) - all current and future players must attend
• Tuesday, November 12, 5-8pm - Official High School Tryouts - Conestee Stadium (840 Mauldin Road, Greenville, SC) - all current and future players must attend
• Friday, November 15 - Official 2025 rosters released, online registration for 2025 season will open
• Tuesday, November 19, 7pm - Mandatory Player/Parent Meeting & Uniform Fitting - Location TBD -  *MUST BE REGISTERED ONLINE BY THIS DATE 

Season Costs

• Registration fee - $450 (fees go toward field rentals, umpires, indoor rentals, miscellaneous uniform, equipment, and overhead expenses)
• Helmet - $50 (if you do not have an official Hurricanes helmet from last season)

Payment Plan Option

• $150 due during online registration
• Remainder is split evenly in installment payments on January 15th, February 15, and March 15th

Items Provided by Players
Cleats, gloves, white game pants with black stripe, bats (bat standard, BBCOR, -3 or “drop 3”)

Practices

• Middle School practice will be from 3:30-5:30pm on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturday mornings until games begin in late February.
• JV and Varsity practices will be from 4-6pm on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, with occasional Saturday morning batting practices, until games start in late February.
• First practice for all 3 teams is January 27.

Games
Games will begin in late February. As of now, home games are played at various fields around Greenville County. Away games are typically played against teams in Greenville, Anderson and Spartanburg County. We do, however, travel on a few occasions to play teams as far as Charlotte, Columbia, Atlanta and Asheville. Games conclude the second week of May.

PAPERWORK REQUIREMENTS

• Every athlete must have on file with Greenville Hurricanes a sports physical not more than 1 year old at any time during the season.
• Athletes new to Greenville Hurricanes this year will need to turn in a copy of their birth certificate. These are kept on file, and returning athletes do not need to resubmit.

• Scan or take a photo of the birth certificate and/or the doctor's signature page of the physical (only need that 1 page). Email the scan or photo to communications@greenvillehurricanes.com.

HURRICANE PHYSICALS
Greenville Hurricane Athletics is offering physicals again this year at a fabulous price of $25! We have a new fall date, Thursday, October 24.

Date: Monday, October 24
Times: 5-7pm
Location: 430 Cox Rd, Greer (Office of Dr. Patricia Banke)
Cost: $25 (for comparison, Minute Clinic, Prisma Urgent Care and Doctor's Care all charge $40-$60 for a sports physical)

Physicals are required for each middle school and high school athlete participating in a Hurricane's competitive season. The physical must not be more than one year old at any time during the season.

GREENVILLE HURRICANES BASEBALL

Middle School Camp - October 28-30, 5-8PM - Eastside Presbyterian Ballfield (201 Snipes Road, Greenville, SC)

Hurricanes Baseball is looking forward to offering a TROPICAL STORM BASEBALL CAMP for rising 2nd-5th graders!Come sharpen your baseball skills with the Hurricanes coaches and some of our JV and Varsity players! Campers will spend their time learning the fundamentals of hitting, fielding, pitching, and base running. They will also be introduced to our Canes baseball philosophy of "whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him!" Each day will include a devotional as well as hands-on baseball instruction. Water and snacks will be provided.Who:  Any boy entering 2nd-5th grade in the fall of 24/25. Homeschool, private school and public school students are all invited to attend!
When:  Monday through Wednesday, July 8-10, 5-8pm
Where:  East Riverside Park (1155 South Suber Road, Greer, SC)
Cost:  $100 (includes camp shirt for those registering by midnight on 6/30)
Bring:  Baseball glove, bat, pants that they can slide in (we recommend baseball pants or sweatpants). Cleats are recommended but not required.
