SOFTBALL TRYOUTS & SEASON INFORMATION 2025/26
It's time to be thinking about SOFTBALL 2026!! Below is the tryout and season information, and we're glad to answer any questions.
TRYOUTS
Where: Thomas C. Pack Park (13 Donald Street, Piedmont, SC)
When: Friday, October 17, 4:00-6:00pm
Who Can Try Out: Girls in 6th-12th grades who are either homeschooled or whose school does not offer Softball
Bring: Bat (if you have one), Helmet (if you have one), Cleats (if available), Glove (must have)

SEASON INFORMATION
Teams: Varsity & JV teams are planned
Practices: Planned 3x/week at the Thomas C. Pack Softball Field (13 Donald Street, Piedmont, SC)
Registration: Players must be registered by December 1st. Full practices will begin February 2nd.
Staff:
- Program Manager & Head Coach - John Hollifield
- Asst. Coaches - Kim McCabe, Tommy Tolan
Costs:
- Registration Fee
- Jersey - $50 (All team members will need to order a new jersey this season)
Payment Plan (available if desired):
- $150 paid at the time of registration
- Remaining amount split into 2 monthly payments
Player Provides:
- Softball Pants
- Helmet
- Glove
- Cleats
- Bat (specifics available at parent/player meeting)
Paperwork:
New players will need to submit a birth certificate. (Returning players will already have a birth certificate on file.) Athletes are also required to have a sports physical turned in before participating. See information on Hurricanes physicals below.
HURRICANE PHYSICALS
Physicals are required for each middle school and high school athlete participating in a Hurricane's competitive season. The physical must not be more than one year old at any time during the season.
Greenville Hurricane Athletics is offering physicals again this year at a fabulous price of $25! See all the information for our fall date below:
