GIRLS BASKETBALL TRYOUT INFORMATION
NEW EARLY TRYOUT DATE:
This year, we are doing tryouts differently. We will do two (2) rounds of tryouts.
- Round 1 will be early (April). This will be for players interested in playing next year so we can get an early start on our practices. We are planning some scrimmages from June-July for all teams. If you don’t make the team in Round 1, this will give you an opportunity to work on things during the off season and try out again in Round 2.
- If spots are still available, Round 2 will be late September or early October. This will be for anyone that did not make the team in Round 1 and would like to try out again, as well as anyone who was not able to do the early tryout or did not know about the tryout.
The reasons for the new format:
1) We plan to start our preseason workouts on or around Jun 15th. We also will have scrimmages planned for all teams.
2) Many families like to get visibility to the schedule early. By setting the teams, we can input the game and tournament schedules as we get them, giving everyone early access to key dates.
3) We will do summer pre-season workouts and want to encourage team development during the summer.
4) This will also allow families to plan financially and even do fundraising activities early and apply to fees.
5) Early tryouts allows us to plan any new uniform sizing and purchases.
Tryout Location: Hampton Heights Baptist Church Gym (2511 Wade Hampton Blvd, Greenville, SC 29615)

GREENVILLE HURRICANES GIRLS BASKETBALL
Hurricanes Girls Basketball is excited to offer our Off-Season Skills Clinic again this year. The focus of this clinic is player outreach and enhanced player development in order to not only build a best-in-class program, but also to develop any player looking to improve. Whether your child has played before or not, if they are interested in basketball, this is a great place to grow. Our goal for Spring/Summer Skills Clinic is to orient the players to the sport, and if they are homeschooled, this is a great way to begin integrating into the Hurricanes' program. This will ensure we have a strong foundation for all girls interested in participating in Hurricane Basketball in 2024/2025 or just wanting to improve basketball skills.
